The Central Application Service (CAS) provides information and support to learners who have not yet received a place to study at a post-school education and training institution, as well as those exploring available post-school opportunitites.
For the 2026 academic year and beyond, the Central Applications Clearing House (CACH) has been discontinued and replaced by the Central Application Service.
CAS is a more integrated support service that improves visibility of opportunities across the Post-School Education and Training system, including universities, colleges and alternative opportunities. It also supports informed decision-making and helps prospective students avoid fraudulent institutions.
The Department of Higher Education and Training remains committed to ensuring that no young person is left without information, guidance or support when navigating post-school opportunities.
