All qualified professional surveyors, technologist surveyors, technician surveyors and GISc practitioners have to be registered with the South African Geomatics Council (SAGC). Professional, technologist and technician surveyors in training can also register with SAGC.
You can be register as:
- Professional Land Surveyor
- Professional Engineering Surveyor
- Professional Mining Surveyor
- Professional Photogrammetric Surveyor
- Professional GISc Practitioner
- Professional Hydrographic Surveyor
To become a registered surveyor with SAGC you must pass various specified exams, pay council fees and have performed work experience tasks.
