If you have legally adopted a child younger than two years and you are a contributor to Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF), you can claim adoption benefits.
To qualify for the benefits you have to take leave from work or stop working to look after that child and must be receiving less than your normal wages while you are on adoption leave.
