The Indians Education Act 61 of 1965 intends:
- to provide for the control of education for Indians by the Department of Indian Affairs,
- to amend
- the Special Education Act, 1948 [repealed in 1967],
- the Vocational Education Act, 1955 [repealed in 1967], and
- the Republic of South Africa Constitution Act, 1961 [repealed in 1994], and
- to provide for matters incidental thereto.
Commencement
- 1 April 1966, all Sections in respect of the Province of Natal and training colleges in the Province of Transvaal
- 1 April 1967, all Sections, in so far as they apply to types of schools in respect of which they are not yet in operation in the Province of Transvaal
