Minister Didiza sends her condolences on the passing of two agricultural sector champions, Dr Mnqobi Ngidi of the Agricultural Research Council and Dr Mandla Buthelezi Nafu KZN Chairperson
The Minister of Agriculture, Land reform and Rural Development Ms Thoko Didiza, MP would like to express her heartfelt condolences on passing of two great minds in the Agricultural sector.
The Minister is still in shock following the news of the passing of Dr Mandla Buthelezi who was the National African Farmers Union of South Africa (NAFUSA) KZN provincial chairperson and senior Vice President at National level. “Dr Buthelezi will be remembered as a fearless, uncompromising and true champion of the small-scale farmers and the farming community at large. Dr Buthelezi had a special talent of being able to engage with everyone in pursuit of his love for agriculture and farming. In the same vain, I would like to send my deepest and heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Dr Mnqobi Ngidi. Dr Ngidi was a member of the Agricultural Research Council (ARC) and served in the Research Development and Evaluation Committee. He served with skill and commitment until his term of office expired end of June 2020.
