The Second Railways and Harbours Acts Amendment Act 41 of 1969 intends:
- to amend section 49 of the Railways and Harbours Service Act, 1912, section 13 of the Railways and Harbours Service Act, 1960 [repealed in 1983], and sections 17, 18, 19, 30, 31 and 51 of the Railways and Harbours Superannuation Fund Act, 1960 [repealed in 1971], so as to provide for a modified method of calculating pensions;
- to amend section 16 of the Railways and Harbours Service Act, 1960 [repealed in 1983], so as to modify the procedure governing the retirement of servants from the Service;
- to amend section 32 of the Railways and Harbours Superannuation Fund Act, 1960 [repealed in 1971], so as to modify the rights of adopted children to receive benefits;
- to amend section 41 of the said Act so as to provide for a modified method of dealing with transfers to and from other services; and
- to provide for other incidental matters.
