A weekly report by the Department of Water and Sanitation shows that there is a slight decline in the dam levels, which was largely caused by high temperatures that have led to a substantial amount of evaporation. Against this backdrop, the department calls on the public to continue with the practice of water conservation to sustain water availability until the next summer rains that are expected next month.. Until such time, water remains a finite resource which needs to be managed quite efficiently and sparingly.
