KwaZulu-Natal Premier Senzo Mchunu has expressed his appreciation to the national government for identifying this province and Durban in particular to host the national Human Rights Day on the 21st March 2016 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

“I am confident that the stadium will be packed to the rafters with the people of this province across all racial lines displaying unity against any form of racism and intolerance.”

“The Human Rights Day in 2016 coincides with the 20th anniversary of our Constitution. We will therefore use the day to salute the heroism and the sacrifices of our people who made it possible for all of us to live in a strong and vibrant democracy.”

“On this important day I call upon the people of this province to hold aloft the banner of freedom that we so fondly cherish. We must remember our former President Nelson Mandela who fought so hard for all of us - inspired by the vision of a united, democratic, non-sexist, non-racial and prosperous society.”

“The #FillupMosesMabhidaStadium campaign is aimed at mobilizing the people of this province across all racial lines. I am saying be part of this important event which will be addressed by the President of the
