SASSA takes its services to Caroline to avoid flooding of potential beneficiaries in the Local Office
South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) is taking its services to Caroline township to avoid flooding of potential beneficiaries in the Local Office. The Agency is implementing this Community Outreach to ensure that people have full access to Social Assistance.
Caroline is located at Chief Albert Luthuli Municipality under Gert Sibande District. The majority of people in this area are depending on Social grant .As a result the Local Office is experiencing a high influx of people from Caroline. The SASSA office servicing Carolina is about 158 K/M return trip.
During the Community Outreach people will be able to apply for all social grants, attending to Special COVID-19 enquiries (R350) grant and assisting beneficiaries about payment method.
Stakeholders such as Department of Health, Social Development, Home Affairs, Chief Albert Luthuli Municipality, IEC and banking institutions will be rendering their services.
