SA Agulhas II leaves for Antarctica
The Department of Environmental Affairs (DEA) will bid farewell to the SA Agulhas II as she departs for Antarctica on Thursday, 30 November 2016, at the East Pier Quay, V&A Waterfront Cape Town.
Aboard the vessel will be the Sanae 56 expedition team, DEA’s supporting team, members from the National Department of Public Works who will continue with the second year of a three year refurbishment/construction project at the base, as well as scientists and researchers from various institutions who will be conducting critical research.
