North West Provincial Legislature Oversight Week in Dr. Ruth Segomotsi Mompati District
On 20 to 23 August 2019, the North West Provincial Legislature will be conducting oversight programme in various municipalities under the Dr. Ruth Segomotsi Municipality. The programme is aimed at taking Legislature to the people to strengthen oversight and public participation and to promote accountability and transparency in government.
During the programme, Members of the Legislature will interact with different provincial departments and their MECs; Mayors, members of the Municipal Public Accounts Committees, ward committees, traditional authorities, farmers and their respective organisations, organised structures and members of the public on issues affecting them.
