Festive Season road safety shutdown
Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula will be clamping down on lawlessness on our country’s roads this festive season.
The Minister will be assessing law enforcement’s state of readiness as the holiday period gains momentum.
Minister Mbalula will inspect over 500 traffic officials and showcase law enforcement technologies such as evidential breath alcohol testers, vehicles fitted with moving violations recording devices & number plate recognition technology, mobile vehicle testing stations as well as crash simulators and drones.
The Minister will be joined by MECs, religious leaders, persons living with disabilities and other stakeholders.
