KwaZulu-Natal Premier Willies Mchunu has announced during the sitting of the executive council that the MEC for Arts, Culture, Sports and Recreation Bongi Sithole-Moloi will today visit the family of the late music maestro Sfiso Ncwane in uMthwalume at 15h00. The MEC will deliver messages of condolences on behalf of the provincial government and will further discuss funeral details with the family.
Mchunu remarked: “We bow our heads in honour of this young and committed son of this province. KwaZulu-Natal has been blessed with a rare breed of musicians too many to mention.”
“Sfiso represented a new generation of gospel singers that carried the aspirations and hopes of many of our people especially our youth.”
“He had the strength, stamina and respected his craft until his untimely death. He was highly driven and made a profound impact in the lives of millions of people. His influence and inspiring voice will remain with us long after his departure.”
