Minister Nhlanhla Nene to engage City Leaders on the role of cities in delivering inclusive economic growth

The Minister of Finance, Mr Nhlanhla Nene, will deliver the opening address at the National Treasury’s Executive Leadership Programme (ELP) on Leading Future Cities –Navigating Today’s Complexity, at the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) on Monday. The 5-day programme is aimed at strengthening the role of cities and city leaders in building a prosperous and inclusive SA.

The ELP is targeted at the political and administrative leadership of the cities together with certain national government representatives and supporting organisations. The ELP is designed to build a shared strategic direction between political and administrative leadership in each city and strengthen partnerships between national departments and cities. The programme is an opportunity to support leaders in addressing priorities for inclusive growth, spatial transformation and service delivery.
