Minister Fikile Mbalula inspects Cape Town International Airport and announces new Coronavirus COVID19 transport regulations and directives, 24 Sept  

Transport Minister Mr Fikile Mbalula will on Thursday, 24 September 2020 announce new COVID19 regulations related to transport.  

The new regulations and directions follow President Cyril Ramaphosa’s pronouncement of moving to Level 1 of the government’s risk adjusted approach, allowing more economic activity which includes amongst others, the opening up of international aviation travel.

ACCESS INFORMATION

 The Media is requested to use P2 (second parkade) at the airport. Once parked, enter through the northern entrance of the central terminal building in the direction of the Plaza. 

Use the Staff Entrance next to “Books” and wait by the information counter where journalists will be escorted to the media venue.  

The Media is requested to bring along their press cards + their ID’s for security.
