Minister Mbalula holds a virtual press conference on the Aviation Industry

The Minister of Transport, Mr Fikile Mbalula will tomorrow hold a virtual press conference on the further resumption of operations of the aviation industry

On 1 June 2020, the country moved to Level 3 of the government’s risk adjusted approach in our fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Minister Mbalula announced that limited domestic air travel for business purposes would be allowed, subject to restrictions. Furthermore, these operations of domestic flights would be rolled out in three phases.

The Minister will announce government’s plans go further open the skies allowing economic activity at our airports in accordance to governments risk adjusted approach.
