Minister of Communications to engage with and connect Hillcrest residents to the digital television grid
The Minister of Communications, Ms Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams will, on 7 May 2019, connect residents of Hillcrest to the digital grid. These are households that have qualified for government-subsidised decoders, which enable viewing of digital television broadcasting services. The Minister will be accompanied by the Mayor of King Sabata Dalindyebo Municipality.
The Minister's first engagement will be with listeners of UCR Community Radio Station at 10h00 on the importance of voting in the upcoming national and provincial general elections, scheduled for 8 May 2019.
The Minister will also visit the local Mthatha Post Office where the ongoing registration of DTT and payment of SASSA grant beneficiaries is taking place.
