Media logistical arrangements for the Jobs Summit

Members of the media who have applied to cover the Jobs Summit are advised that the accreditation centre will continue operating tomorrow before the formal proceedings from 08:00am till 12:00 at Gallagher Convention Centre, Hall 1- Office 2. Identity Document (ID, Passport or Driver’s License) and press card or letter from the editor will be required for collection of the accreditation.

The two day summit taking place at Gallagher Convention Centre Hall 2, will bring together all NEDLAC constituencies comprising of government, labour, business and community with a focus on collaborative and high-impact interventions to drive job creation, job retention and economic growth.

Day 1: Thursday, 04 October 2018
14h00 - Opening and welcome by NEDLAC Executive Director
14h20 - Overview of the Job Summit by Minister in the Presidency
14h30 – Address by constituency leaders Business, Community and Labour
15h45 – Address by President Cyril Ramaphosa
16h30 – Signing of the Jobs Summit Agreement

Day 2: Friday, 05 October 2018
08h45 – Opening and Welcome by NEDLAC Executive Director
09h00 – Breakaway Panel Discussions
11h20 – Feedback from panel discussions
12h20 – Walk about of the Exhibition
13h20 – Official Closing by President Cyril Ramaphosa
14:30 – Media briefing by overall conveners of NEDLAC at Hall 2.
