MEC Xasa denounces the killing of Councilor Njobe
COGTA MEC Fikile Xasa has learnt with sadness the cruel murder of Councillor Thozama Njobe of Newtown location, last night. Councillor Njobe was the Speaker of Raymond Mhlaba Local Municipality at the time of her death.
MEC Xasa sends his deepest condolences to the Njobe family, their relatives and next of kin for the loss of their loved one.
“We condemn this as a senseless killing hence we call on police to follow up on all possible leads to arrest the culprits. Similarly we encourage members of the community to assist the police with any information that can lead to a successful investigation and prosecution of the perpetrators,” said MEC Xasa. Ends.
