UMgungundlovu District Champion, MEC Belinda Scott, together with uMgungundlovu District Mayor, Cllr Thobekile Maphumulo invite journalist to the commemoration of the World Aids Day event to be held in Pietermaritzburg tomorrow (1 December 2016).
Under the theme: "It is in our hands to triumph, it is in our hands to end HIV and AIDS", uMgungundlovu District will join the world community to observe this day. The two-fold event will kick-start with a taxi rank blitz in Pietermaritzburg, where the leadership will be distributing pamphlets with messages on the fight against HIV and Aids, and flavoured condoms.
Later, the leadership will join the community at Caluza Community Hall in Caluza where there will be a dialogue on issues around combating the spread of HIV and AIDS.
MEC Scott and Mayor Maphumulo invites Journalists to be part of the commemoration in the quest to find a solution to beat HIV and AIDS.
