MEC Willies Mchunu welcomes additional deployments to re-enforce security at Glebelands and KwaMashu hostels, 16 May

The KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison, Mr Willies Mchunu together with the Provincial Commissioner, Lt General Mmamonnye Ngobeni will tomorrow welcome additional new police deployments, who have been sent to re-enforce peace and security at Glebelands and KwaMashu hostels.

The additional deployments will work with the local police who have been charged with ensuring intensive law enforcement to root-out killings and other criminal elements in the two hostels.

The decision to beef up security in the two hostels is also part of strengthening security in the province ahead of the 2016 Local Government Elections. MEC Mchunu will use this welcoming parade to report on progress on cases in two hostel and police successes in other major cases in the province.
