MEC Jacob Mamabolo briefs media on Snake Road sinkhole, 19 Nov

Gauteng MEC for Public Transport and Roads Infrastructure Jacob Mamabolo will today brief the media on the latest developments regarding the Snake Road sinkhole that developed along the route in Benoni, City of Ekurhuleni. 

The MEC will be joined by a team of geotechnical experts who have been investigating remedial repair methodologies to the road. 

The road remains closed. Motorists are urged to use Tom Jones Offramp when travelling towards Heidelberg and those from the south are urged to use Pioneer and turn right to Bunyan Street.
