KwaZulu-Natal Office of the Premier warns of fake Facebook accounts and other fictitious social network scams
The Office of the Premier of KwaZulu-Natal would like to warn the public about a number of Facebook and twitter accounts which purport to be those of the Office of the Premier. These fake accounts are the latest attempts to con gullible public in KwaZulu-Natal and elsewhere.
The Premier’s office condemn the use of its good name to spread malicious rumours and lies. The photographs used in all these fake accounts have been illicitly obtained. Utterances and any news item on these accounts are not from the Office of the Premier, and not from the people portrayed in these accounts.
These deceitful individuals operating these fictitious accounts masquerading as the Premier’s Office have no intention to better the lives of our people. Their only desire is to scam members of the public who have an unquenchable thirst for information and developments in the province of KwaZulu-Natal.
Kindly refrain from engaging these accounts, and rather use the following official accounts from the Office of the Premier.
