Deputy Minister Thembi Siweya conducts oversite visit at the Praktiseer Driver’s License Testing Centre to monitor Coronavirus Covid-19 compliance, 7 Aug

Licence testing centre up for assessment of compliance to health protocols and impact of Covid-19

The Deputy Minister in the Presidency, Thembi Siweya, MP, will conduct frontline monitoring to assess the impact of Covid-19 on service delivery at the at the Praktiseer Driver’s License Testing Centre (DLTC), in Fetagomo/Tubatse Local Municipality on 7 August 2020. The programme is a response to the President’s declaration that all Ministers and Deputy Ministers will be deployed to various districts in the country to monitor compliance with the COVID-19 regulations.

The Deputy Minister has been allocated the Sekhukhune District as a site of monitoring and will target various centers of services delivery to ensure compliance with regulations and the district’s response to socio-cultural, health and economic issues such as Gender Based Violence, Alcohol abuse, stigmatization, readiness of the health facilities, and support to Small Medium Enterprises. The programme is also part of the ongoing frontline monitoring of government services as the Department of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (DPME), which reports to the Ministry in the Presidency.

It is important that all government service delivery centers continue to offer operate optimally to provide the necessary service and ensure the protection of employees and all citizens against the spread of corona virus.
