The Deputy Minister of Small Business Development, Mr Sidumo Dlamini together with Deputy Minister of Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development, Ms Zoleka Capa will jointly launch the Sarah Baartman District Municipality District SMMES Support Coordinating Committee (DSCC) on 04 October 2022
The Deputy Minister for Small Business Development, Mr. Sidumo Dlamini is expected to deliver the keynote address at the launch of the District SMMEs-Support Coordinating Committee (DSCC) at the Sarah Baartman District Municipality in the Eastern Cape province on Tuesday, 04 October 2022.
The launch is supported by the District Development Model Champion for Eastern Cape, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development, Ms. Rosemary Capa as well as the provincial and local leadership of the province.
The Sarah Baartman District Municipality has signed an Agreement with the Small Enterprise Development Agency (Seda) through which the District Enhancement Facilitation (DEF) is being implemented. The DEF model is to introduce an ecosystem approach, with a new level of participation of various role players, including entrepreneurship promotion, development, and support. Through this agreement and partnership with other key stakeholders in the Sarah Baartman District Municipality, a small enterprise development and support structure known as the District SMME-support Coordinating Committee (DSCC) was formed through adoption of its Terms of Reference on 09 June 2022.
