Deputy Minister Sfiso Buthelezi hosts Imbizo Outreach Programme in Jozini, 30 Nov

Deputy Minister Sfiso Buthelezi to give feedback and engage Jozini farmers

The Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Honourable Sfiso Buthelezi invites members of the media to a feedback and Imbizo Outreach Programme to be held at Jozini, Umkhanyakude District Municipality  in the KwaZulu-Natal Province. The Deputy Minister visited the area in July this year and held an imbizo to address farm killings and stock theft; he also interacted with farmers dealing with cotton in the area.

He promised to do a follow-up visit where he will focus on the progress made. Buthelezi aims to provide a progress report and feedback on the commitment made during the 20 July 2018 imbizo.

The imbizo activities, which are aligned to the National Development Plan and outlined in the Medium Term Strategic Framework 2014 to 2019, are undertaken to build a better South Africa.

Moreover, the Deputy Minister Buthelezi will visit projects in the area to see how farmers are coping in their respective sectors.

Media is therefore invited to attend.
