Deputy Minister Bheki Cele addresses Pongola outreach programme aimed at dealing with the attacks on foreign nationals, 30 Apr

The Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the Honourable General Bheki Cele cordially invites members of the media to an awareness campaign that deals with the recent outbreaks of violence against foreign nationals.

Under the themes “WeAreAfrica’’ and ‘’WeAreOne’’ the leadership is visiting the border provinces around the country to meet with the sector stakeholders and the farming community in addressing the concerns and attacks on foreign nationals.

The Deputy Minister will further communicate government programmes to be implemented in ensuring a long-lasting solution to the challenges, in particular to border farms that employ foreign nationals in the country. The address will also focus on the impact of the xenophobic attacks on the agricultural sector in general.
