Dept to discuss water and sanitation challenges at district water summits
The Department of Local Government and Human Settlements in the North West will convene water summits in all the four districts in the province, starting next week Tuesday,12 February 2019 in Taung (hotel school).
The purpose of these summits is to discuss water and sanitation challenges in the province in order to develop plans that will ensure that there is stability and sustainability in the provision of water and sanitation in all areas in the province.
The summits will be attended by all sector departments, i.e. Dept of Water and Sanitation, Dept of Education and Sport Development, Dept of Health, Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Municipal Infrastructure Support Agency (MISA), Municipal Managers, Mayors, ward councillors and ward committee members.

- 26 February 2019 - Bojanala Platinum district
- 27 February 2019 - Dr Kenneth Kaunda district
