MEC Ntombikayise Sibhidla-Saphetha conveys condolences to family of Minister Collins Chabane

The country has been robbed of Minister Chabane’s exceptional skills

The KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Arts, Culture, Sport and Recreation, Ntombikayise Sibhidla-Saphetha has conveyed her heart-felt condolences to the family of the Minister of Public Service Administration, Collins Chabane who died in a tragic car accident yesterday.

“We were deeply saddened to learn about the untimely death of the Minister in the early hours of the morning yesterday. Chabane was a disciplined member and a leader of the ANC who dedicated his time to the service of the people of South Africa, particularly the poor, said Sibhidla-Saphetha.

She said in his role as the Minister in the Presidency responsible for Monitoring and Evaluation, he was instrumental in ensuring that the country had an efficient government that was accountable at all levels.

His death is not only a loss to his family and the ANC but to the country as a whole.  We have indeed been robbed of his exceptional skills and talent. She said that the people of South Africa must find comfort in the fact that Chabane left a legacy that everyone was proud of.
