KwaZulu-Natal Premier Senzo Mchunu has conveyed a message of sympathy to Willies Mchunu, the MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison following the untimely passing on of his wife Mrs Dudu Mchunu.
“It was with deep sadness that we received these tragic news. Though we had been aware of her ill-health, her resilience gave us all a false hope that she would soon recover and be back with us.
I assigned my special advisor Advocate Linda Zama to be with MEC Mchunu during a visit to Inkosi Albert Luthuli Hospital where Mrs Mchunu had been admitted."
“No amount of words can express our deepest sympathies to MEC Mchunu and the family for the pain and irreparable loss of a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, friend, aunt and a source of love that united the Mchunu family.”
“Mrs Mchunu was highly loved and respected for her humbleness and commitment to the family. Despite the deep hurt that MEC Mchunu is going through, may it comfort him to know that the people of KwaZulu-Natal share the pain and anguish of her loss.”
“On behalf of myself, my wife Cllr Thembeka Mchunu and family, my colleagues in the executive, all government employees and the people of KwaZulu-Natal - we wish to express our deepest condolences to MEC Mchunu and the entire family. Myself and members of the executive council will set aside time to visit the family to offer comfort during this difficult period.”
