Auditor-General Kimi Makwetu shares results of Audit office's Gender Equity Journey, 5 Dec

Auditor-General to share results of his office's Gender Equity Journey

Auditor-General, Kimi Makwetu, will share the results of his office’s gender equity journey to date. Amongst a number of highlights, Makwetu will report that a quarter of a century ago, there were no women in the top structure of the office, the executive committee (exco). Today, the 108-year old audit office has a woman as our accounting officer, the deputy auditor-general, and the gender ratio on exco is perfectly balanced.

Makwetu, whose fixed seven-year term as South Africa’s AG comes to an end on 30 November 2020, will be available for interviews at the session.

Date:        Thursday, 5 December 2019
Time:       12:00
Venue:     Emperors Palace 64 Jones Road Kempton Park
