President Jacob Zuma to answer questions in the National Assembly - Photographing protocols

President Jacob Zuma will be answering questions from Members of Parliament during a Parliament sitting in the National Assembly on Thursday, 15 November at 14h00.

Journalists and photographers who do not have Parliamentary media access permits but wish to cover the sitting must send their details to Nolizwi Magwagwa on 021 403 2465 or nmagwagwa@parliament.gov.za, copying mkabeli@parliament.gov.za, by 16h00 on Wednesday, 14 November.

Details required are full names and ID or passport numbers of people attending plus name of media house.

The following protocols apply when photographing in the National Assembly Chamber:

1. Photographers granted permission to take photographs of proceedings may not use a flash or tripod.
2. Photographers granted permission to photographs must follow instructions from Parliamentary officials.
3. Photographers must wear a bib for the duration of their stay.
4. Photographers seeking permission to photograph proceedings must have been commissioned to do so by a media organisation.

Please note that no filming is allowed by outside videographers. Film footage (live feeds) may be obtained from Parliament's Sound and Vision Unit.
