Systems in place for the arrival of first vaccines in the province:
The National Department of Health has now confirmed that the first 1 million doses of vaccines, announced by Dr Zweli Mkhize, are expected to arrive in the country on 1 February. Once the necessary processes have been completed by SAHPRA, the vaccines will then be delivered to provinces.
The Western Cape is working hard to ensure that all systems are in place, and ready to begin the vaccine rollout as soon as possible. Read the full statement issued earlier today, here: https://coronavirus.westerncape.gov.za/news/western-cape-systems-place-arrival-first-vaccine-doses-province
