The Minister of Basic Education, Mrs Angie Motshekga and the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) will tomorrow, Tuesday 08 December 2020 release the results of the 2019 Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) study.
TIMSS is a cross-national assessment of the mathematics and science levels of learners from the various participating countries and was first administered in South Africa in 1995 and has continued to be administered in 1999, 2003, 2011, 2015 and 2019.
Members of the Media are invited to attend the release of the 2019 TIMMS results as well as media briefing as follows:
