Deputy Minister Nzuza to visit Edenvale and Soweto offices
The Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Mr Njabulo Nzuza, will tomorrow, Tuesday 7 April 2020, visit Home Affairs offices in Edenvale and Soweto. The purpose of the visit is to assess how essential services are provided to citizens during the lockdown.
In support of officials on duty, the Deputy Minister will share with the offices, experiences and challenges in this period. During the lockdown, it is required that all interactions are safe and that protective equipment is used properly to protect officials and clients.
Until further notice, Home Affairs offices open from 10h00 to 14h00, Monday to Friday. Limited services offered are issuing out of Temporary Identity Certificates and Death Certificates and re-issuing of Birth Certificates. Other services are not available as offices are on skeleton staff. Offices located in Thusong Centres are closed.
