Deputy Minister of Water and Sanitation, Hon. David Mahlobo, will on Friday, 3 April, pay a visit to the Vaalkop Water Treatment Works and Madibeng Local Municipality. The visit follows the Deputy Minister’s visit to the same Municipality in March.
Even though the Deputy Minister had instructed Madibeng Local Municipality to develop an action plan that will assist in ensuring that communities are supplied with adequate and quality water, it would seem this has not helped as the challenges besetting the Municipality seem not to be reducing.
Deputy Minister Mahlobo will be accompanied by the MEC for CoGHSTA in the North West Hon. Gordon Kegtakilwe, as well as the Chairperson and CEO of Magalies Water.
