Minister Zokwana to encourage learners to consider careers in agriculture, forestry and fisheries
“Young people are a vital key to unlock food security challenges” said Minister Senzeni Zokwana (MP). Minister Zokwana is on a nation-wide drive to encourage learners from various backgrounds to consider careers in the Agriculture, Forestry & Fisheries’ sectors.
Following from the Minister’s visit to Magukubjane Secondary School in Limpopo on Monday, 5 February 2018, where bursaries and school supplies were awarded; the Minister will on the 9 February 2018 visit the Ngalonkulu Senior Secondary School in Bizana (Eastern Cape). This is part of his department’s school outreach programme.
The Minister will advise learners on the importance of maths and science subjects as a pathway to becoming the next generation of farm owners and scientists.
