- 2 396 – the number of general detectives appointed by the South African Police Service (SAPS) to bring the total detective establishment to 22687 during 2010.
- 4 993- the number of recruits who reported for training in various training colleges on 24 January 2011.

- 83 -prosecutors appointed to the National Prosecuting Authotiry (NPA).

- 1 385 - new vehicles procured by SAPS in the 2009/10 and 2010/11 financial year to enable the police to fight crime in rural areas.

- 866 – victim-friendly rooms at the police stations countrywide by the end of the second quarter of 2010.
- 2014 – by this year the JCPS cluster through its Delivery Agreement hopes to reach its target of ensuring the prosecution of at least 100 people who have accumulated assets of at least R5 million through illicit means.
- R250 million – assets seized in the first six months in 2010 which bears evidence of government’s determination to fight the scourge of corruption.
- 16 – proclamations issued relating to corruption investigations with an estimated value of R15 billion. Out of that, R10 billion is in the form of procurement investigations undertaken.

The first and second phases involving borders with Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Swaziland have been finalised. Phases 3 and 4 which involve borders with Lesotho, Namibia and Botswana will be rolled out soon.
- 30 – the Department of Home Affairs wants to ensure that parents register their babies within 30 days of birth and therefore be issued with birth certificates so they can receive social services provided by government.
- 717 776 – first-time identity documents (IDs) issued by October 2010.
- 275 762 – undocumented Zimbabweans who have applied to legalise their stay in South Africa.
- June 2011 – the date when all applications should be processed as mandated by the Minister of Home Affairs.
