SASSA on fraudsters selling SASSA cards

Fraudsters selling SASSA cards

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) is concerned by the increasing number of scam messages doing the rounds on social media purporting to be selling SASSA cards.

SASSA warns the public that SASSA cards are not for sale and any person claiming to be selling SASSA cards is committing a crime.

“We urge our people to exercise caution not to be duped by hoax messages. We call up on the public not to buy SASSA cards from anyone. We solicit the assistance of the public to report such fraudsters to law enforcement agencies.” says Mr. Simlindile Jabavu, Acting SASSA KZN Regional Executive Manager.
