1. The KwaZulu-Natal Road Traffic Inspectorate warns motorists of heavy rains and poor visibility throughout the province.
2. In Port Shepstone flooding has caused road P200 to be closed. It is reported the bridge is flooded. Traffic is being diverted to R620.
3. At Batstones Bridge – near Sugar Mill, the road is also closed to traffic. Motorists urged to use Toll Road or R102.
4. In Port Shepstone to uMzumbe Toll Road – it is reported that water is overflowing may cause vehicles to overturn.
5. On N2 near KwaMakhutha, the off ramp is closed due to flooding.
6. In Hibberdene – road to Sawoti near Breamar a tree fell across the road due to heavy winds.
7. On R612 – Kenteton – tress also fell on the road due to heavy winds. Clean up operations are underway in incident four and five.
8. N2 North Bound near Mposa road closed due to truck recovery. Stop and go in progress.
9. RTI requests motorists to reduce speed, keep safe following distance, keep head lights on, and to drive carefully.
