King Goodwill Zwelithini kaDinuzulu today delivered his speech to officially open the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature in a ceremony attended by dignitaries from across the country and some neighboring countries.
In his speech, Isilo bemoaned the continuing slaughter of rhinos by poachers who sell their horns to buyers around the world.
Isilo also stressed the importance of education, and congratulated last year's matriculants for a good pass rate.
''It is very sad however to see these young people who have completed their high schooling now being stranded because they cannot find space in tertiary education facilities," said Imbube.
His Majesty congratulated the KwaZulu-Natal government for the successful hosting of a number of international events and dignitaries who visited, includig the hosting of the COP 17 conference and the Prince of Wales' visit to the province.
