Hospital implement restrictions of movement
NW PROVINCE; Matlosane- Klerksdorp/Tshepong Hospital Complex hereby wishes to announce changes in KT Hospital facilities based on the recent declaration of the state of national disaster in line with the disaster management act of SA, and Honorable President Cyril Ramaphosa announcement to prevent the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in South Africa.
Patients & public are hereby informed that with effect from 19 March 2020 the following decision will be implemented until further notice:
- Official Visiting Hours will be from 15:00 to 16:00 daily including weekend & holidays (after hours visited are canceled).
- Each patient will only be allowed one visitor per day. Group visits are prohibited.
- Only one person to accompany the patient at the Outpatient Dept/clinics (OPD).
- No patient will be allowed in the hospital without a referral letter.
- All patients in need of medical assistance should go first to their nearest clinic or GP before coming to the hospital.
- Hawkers are prohibited within the Hospital Premises, including Businesses / Insurance sales reps.
- Movement between the units, and in the hospital premises is restricted.
The above is in line with the North West Department of Health Policy & Standard Operating Procedure that has to do with the management & prevention of the spread of coronavirus in the hospital premises. To ensure adherence to infection prevention control measures.
