National Youth Development Agency achieves fourth successive clean audit
The National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) has received a fourth successive clean audit opinion. This is the first clean audit outcome under the new Board of Directors, led by the Executive Chairperson, Mr. Sifiso Mtsweni.
The report by the Auditor General of South Africa (AGSA) affirms the Board's commitment to maintaining clean governance and a high-performance culture. It also provides a clear indication of strides by the agency to fulfil its mandate.
The audit outcome clearly shows efforts by the Agency to direct resources into programmes aimed at fighting poverty, reducing high youth unemployment rate and inequality. Members of the media will be invited to a press conference and launch of the first-ever NYDA beneficiaries and success stories booklet.
"We thank members of the Board, Chief Executive Officer, Executive and Senior Management staff and all employees for yet another success. Achieving a successive clean audit demonstrate the willingness and the readiness of young people to lead government agencies to the best interest of South Africa," added Mtsweni.
