KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Arts, Culture, Sport and Recreation, Mrs Weziwe Thusi has learnt with shock and sadness of the passing of yet another Maskandi artist, Sbongiseni Ntombela a member of the popular group Amageza Amahle.
“We only heard of his illness this past week and now he is no more. Ntombela’s death is a huge loss to music particularly the Maskandi genre. We are really saddened,” Mrs Thusi said.
Ntombela’s death comes barely a week after the province buried Maskandi Queen Busi Mhlongo.
