MEC Neliswa Peggy Nkonyeni sends condolences on death of exam marker

The MEC for Education in KwaZulu-Natal, Neliswa Peggy Nkonyeni, would like to send her condolences to the family, friends, colleagues and learners of Ms Jetrina Biyela, who passed away early this morning, 4 July 2014. During the time of her death, Ms Biyela, who was an educator at Nsikayendlu High School, was marking Senior Certificate papers for Adult Education and Training Examination at Adams College. Ms Biyela, who was asthmatic, was taken to Kingsway Hospital, but died at 3h00 this morning. “Our fervent prayers are with her family during this very difficult time,” said MEC Nkonyeni.

Marking for Adult Education and Training Examination commenced on 1 July 2014 and will conclude on 9 July 2014. The centers in which scripts are being marked are Adams College, Dlangezwa High School, Empangeni High School, Eshowe High School and James Nxumalo Agricultural School.
