MEC Kegakilwe on Mamusa by-elections
The North West MEC for Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs, Mothibedi Kegakilwe has encouraged eligible voters in Mamusa local municipality to go out in their numbers to vote during the by-elections on Wednesday, 15 January 2020.
“This is an opportunity for the people of Mamusa to exercise their democratic right by electing leaders of their choice by voting in the upcoming by-elections. We call for peace and calm at all the voting stations and we are confident that the Independent Electoral Commission will deliver free and fair elections’’, said MEC Kegakilwe.
The council of Mamusa was dissolved in October last year following a decision by the North West Provincial Executive Committee to invoke 139(1)(c) of the Constitution.
