The MEC for Education in KwaZulu-Natal, Senzo Mchunu, would like to send his condolences to the family, fellow learners, educators and the entire Limpopo province following the death of a learner during the School’s National Soccer Tournament.
Andani Kutana collapsed and died during the game of Metropolitan under 16 soccer tournament at King Zwelithini Stadium. The late Andani was a learner at Benny Sports Development School in Limpopo.
"As a province and as a Department of Education we are very saddened by the news of passing away of young Andani. That his school was representing the province of Limpopo in the national tournaments means that the nation has lost a future star that was going to represent our country at various levels in the country and the world. Our prayers are with his family during this difficult time," said MEC Mchunu.
