Tip sheet:
- The province has 32 marking centres.
- The administration staff and administration assistants reported for duty on 3 December 2010.
- Chief Markers, Deputy and Senior Markers will reported for duty on 6 December 2010. All marking centres have sufficient marking rooms with locking doors for the security of the answer scripts during the day and at night.
- Marking commenced today on 7 December 2010 and conclude on 15 December 2010.
- Capturing will be concluded on 19 December 2010.
- 9 361 markers will be appointed to undertake the marking of scripts.
- 1 000 administrative Assistants and 200 Administrative officials undertook the checking process and submission of the mark sheets to the data section for capture.
- The purpose of monitoring is to ensure that all learners in the province write a credible examination.
- KwaZulu-Natal had 130 485 full-time and 20 388 part time candidates registered for the NSC examinations.
