Mbali Ndimande, a learner from Siphapheme High School in the Ugu District, is going to represent South Africa at the 56th London International Youth Science Forum (LIYSF) which will be held at the Imperial College in London. LYSF is a world leading event for the globe’s most promising young scientists. The theme for this years’ event is: Eureka – Breakthrough and Development in Science.
This programme, which runs from 23 July till 6 August 2014, will attract 400 young scientists aged between 17-21 from 60 countries all over the world. “As a Department of Education in the KwaZulu-Natal, we would like to congratulate Mbali and tell her that the province is very proud of her achievements. We know that when she comes back she is going to share her experiences with her peers. We also want to congratulate the school as well as her teachers for the job well done,” said MEC Nkonyeni.
