KwaZulu-Natal Premier Dr. Zweli Mkhize meets with former President of Zambia Dr Kenneth Kaunda

KwaZulu-Natal Premier Dr. Zweli Mkhize and Mr Zenzele Dube, grandson of Dr. John Langalibalele Dube, welcome former Zambian President, Dr. Kenneth Kaunda on his arrival on a tour of the breath-taking Inanda Heritage Valley, walking in the footsteps of Presidents, Priests & Passive Resistance Leaders.

Dr Mkhize was hosting a media tour to various areas of historic significance in the greater Durban area as part of a drive to encourage citizens to be proud of the country's shared history and heritage.

Kaunda thanked Dr Mkhize for his hospitality and expressed his gratitude for being able to stand and say a prayer over Dr. Dube's grave. Kaunda's country is among the African states that assisted in South Africa's liberation struggle.

Areas visited include Ohlange Institute, where former President Nelson Mandela cast his vote in South Africa's first democratic elections in 1994, the Phoenix settlement where Mahatma Gandhi launched his philosophy of the passive resistance, the Inanda Seminary, one of the oldest African Private schools for girls, established in 1869, the home of the Shembe Church, in Ekuphakameni.
